Wax melts are easy to use and scent your home with the same type of fragrances as candles but usually they are more scented and work more quickly. Potpourri melts are also called tarts. All tarts are made of wax but they are highly scented so you can use them over and over until the fragrance has been used up. Place the burner on an even surface free from drafts. Keep away from anything that could catch on fire such as curtains, doilies, tablecloths etc. Clean the potpourri burner after each use to avoid a build-up of soot. Do not use a votive or other candle to heat your burner. Use ONLY tealights. Make sure the pot is always at least 1/2 full when using. Don\'t let it get down too low. Don\'t add water or oil to the chips. Place them in the burner and they will slowly melt and scent the air. NEVER move the burner while the wax is liquid or the liquid you have in it is hot. This could cause some nasty burns, so set it where you want it before the tea light is burning.
